This gallery will always contain about 10-20 fairly recent photos of Natalie, which will be rotated out as new photos are taken and added.

There are many, many more pictures in a private section of the gallery accessible only by permission. If you are a close friend or family member, we will be happy to give you access. You will need to create a free Zenfolio account (click on the "login" link at the top near the search box to get started) and then e-mail Tim or Sara with your user name so that you can be added to the list of people Zenfolio will allow access to our private galleries. We apologize for the inconvenience--we know that this is a bit of a pain for our friends and family--but hope that everyone will understand our desire to protect our privacy and our daughter by restricting how much is available to the public.

This is a selection of photos Sara has taken (ranging from the family vacation to Disney sometime in high school to present-day) which she felt turned out well enough to share. Unfortunately, some are rather poor scans of photos that were originally shot with a variety of films (110, 35mm, and Advantix), but hopefully the quality will come through nonetheless.

Natalie came home with a fever one Tuesday morning. I knew the problem was just a teething fever, so I thought I'd bake some cookies over naptime as a special treat. I documented the process a little bit using my iPhone 3GS, partly just to see what I could do with it.

We all gathered at Mom and Dad's house for the Fourth of July--the five of us, Andrew and Tina, some of Dad's family, Tim's mom, a friend or two... It was rainy, but we had fun. Not having really done anything photographically since vacation, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.

Here they are--vacation photos! The first few are of Natalie's time with Grandma and Grandpa while we were gone.

It should be noted that although the photos were taken by multiple people (see copyright on each photo for details), all captions and titles have been created by Sara, and some of the text may therefore not entirely reflect the photographer's creative vision.

Mothers Day 2009

For Mothers Day, Tim and I and our parents and Natalie all went out to McCormick's Creek State Park to play on the playground and eat dinner at the Canyon Inn. I brought the camera along. This gallery is a little sparse, though, because so many of the photos wound up being of Natalie and I didn't want to put too many of her up here.

A few shots from Bridesmaid #2 documenting... well, not the whole day, but at least the part of it leading up to the ceremony. The bride was beautiful, the groom was so grown-up and handsome (sniffle), the weather decided to cooperate after all, and the bubble machine even got fixed (OK, exchanged) in time to do its thing after the ceremony. It was a wonderful wedding. :)

And yeah. I admit to making shameless use of the shots the pros had set up in some places, although I'm sure they made much better use of them. ;)

05 April 2009: Easter Reunion

We got together with my mother's side of the family on Palm Sunday, and I brought the camera along. I actually wound up not doing a lot of documenting the whole thing, tending instead to concentrate on inanimate objects (and Natalie, at the other extreme). In restrospect, I wish I'd focused (no pun intended!) more on the people instead of just pretty shots.

I hope Tim doesn't kill me too much for using two pictures that include him in the public set. But they're nice pictures!

This is a selection of photos by Sara and Mary documenting the visit of Anthony (Tim's older brother) and Kyle (Anthony's 11-year-old son). The open house at Mary's place sort of served as an irregularly-scheduled photo session for Sara too.

This is what happens when there's so much snow I feel like I really should take some pictures, but also so much that what I actually want to do is hibernate. Pictures? I'll snap one of a mug of hot chocolate before it goes down my throat. So--not very many, and I'm not really satisfied with what's there, but here you go.

Downtown Bloomington, on the first really snowy day of the season. I started out in Dunkirk Square, worked my way west to Courthouse Square and vack again, with stops at the library and Fountain Square Mall to warm my poor frozen toes.

08 November 2008: Campus (Wells Library, Cox Arboretum, Etc.)

Also included: the IU Auditorium, the Art Museum, and the areas surrounding them. I had no particular goal or theme for this session, but wound up taking a lot of pictures of stairways, or looking up at buildings. Also more nature-y photos than I'd intended, but--hey, if it works.

11 October 2008: McCormick's Creek State Park

These photos were taken mostly along the segment of Trail 8 between the trailhead behind the Nature Center and the point at which the trail intersects Trail 5. There are also some photos from the Nature Center's Habitat Trail, Hillcrest Shelter (...I think...), and the Falls Overlook.
